Summary
This role will be hired as either an Epic Tapestry Analyst or Senior Epic Tapestry Analyst, depending on candidate qualifications.As an Epic Tapestry Analyst at Hummingbird, you will be responsible for providing managed services application support to clients, using your expertise in system configuration, workflow design, and application analysis. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders to refine processes, address needs, and contribute to the development of best practices. You will work alongside senior team members, leveraging their guidance as you continue to grow your skillset and proficiency within the role.
As a Senior Epic Tapestry Analyst at Hummingbird, you will provide managed services application support, leveraging your advanced expertise in system configuration, workflow design, and application analysis. You will engage directly with clients to resolve complex issues, refine processes, and identify opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the continued excellence of our service delivery.
Epic Tapestry Utilization Management Administration Certification Required
Responsibilities
Compensation:
- Analyst starting $91,000+ per year, based on experience.
- Sr Analyst starting at $113,000+ per year, based on experience.
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Travel: 4-5 trips per year for client visits, training, and company events.
Working Hours: Pacific Time
Work Location: This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.
On Call: Required to participate in the on-call rotation with an estimated 8 weeks on-call per year.
System Analysis
Analyze workflows, data, and technical issues, particularly those of a highly complex and integrated nature, to identify options and recommend solutions aligned with business needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Perform comprehensive workflow and requirement analysis for critical, complex, and integrated issues and enhancements, overseeing the entire process from building and testing to documentation and communication of changes.
Translate requirements into system configurations, overseeing the process from building and testing to documentation and communication of changes.
Lead system enhancements, maintenance tasks, and upgrades for both routine and critical initiatives.
Lead project scoping activities, to include requirements definition, application of prioritization criteria, level of effort estimates, and anticipated return on investment.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
Adhere to change control processes, maintaining system integrity and compliance.
User Support and Troubleshooting
Deliver high-quality application and optimization support in accordance with contracted SLAs.
Take a proactive role in understanding and addressing end-user issues and needs, mentoring others in problem-solving scenarios.
Proactively seek information and strategize solutions for end-user issues with significant risks.
Lead the data audits, troubleshooting, and tracking of complex issues, ensuring effective resolution and process improvements.
Provide on-call support during scheduled times, if required.
Communication and Collaboration
Lead engagement with client stakeholders to deeply understand organizational processes, needs, and developing best practices, providing strategic guidance and recommendations.
Act as a liaison between business operations, providers, and IT, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Champion cross-functional collaboration efforts, driving integrated solutions and facilitating knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Serve as a SME for the training team on organizational training initiatives.
General
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts, contributing to the team's overall growth.
Take a proactive role in documenting team processes and procedures.
Manage projects of increasing complexity, scope, and criticality.
Provide thorough documentation of build changes, tasks, and projects.
Provide clear and organized status reports on key project areas.
Lead meetings, reviews, and design sessions.
Stay current with Epic certifications and application knowledge.
Comply with all HIPAA policies, procedures, and training requirements.
Required & Desired Skills
Required Skills and Experience
Current Epic Tapestry certification(s) (Tapestry Utilization Management Administration).
Analyst level: 3+ years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic applications.
Senior Analyst level: 5+ years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic applications.
A successful track record leading Epic system enhancements and upgrades.
Highly skilled in troubleshooting and effectively tracking and resolving issues.
Proven ability to follow change control and testing procedures.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working both independently and in teams, with wide latitude for independent judgement.
Experience mentoring less experienced team members.
Able to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage projects of increasing scope and complexity.
Deep knowledge of the healthcare workflows related to Epic applications.
Able to provide on-call support during scheduled times, if required.
Desired Skills and Experience
Certification in additional Epic applications.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Experience serving as a subject matter expert in support of organizational training initiatives.
Able to lead productive discussions and contribute valuable insights during collaborative sessions on complex, integrated workflows.
