The Opportunity

As a Senior Staff Metrology Engineer at Halo Industries, you will play a crucial role in the development and integration of our groundbreaking semiconductor manufacturing technology. Leveraging your expertise in metrology tools and techniques, particularly within the semiconductor industry or related fields, you will contribute to the evolution of our technology from R&D to production manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop state-of-the-art wafer metrology systems and ensure reliable measurement capabilities that can be used to advance our process and provide reports to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and integration of advanced metrology systems to support high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement quality standards for metrology tools and measurements to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with Halo's operational goals.
  • Ensure metrology system traceability and compliance with IATF 16949 standards, including statistical process control and calibration systems
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance metrology processes and integrate customer feedback into continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Own the reliability, maintenance, and upgrades of a suite of semiconductor metrology equipment
  • Ensure reliability using measurement systems analysis, including Gage R&R
  • Provide reports on stability of metrology equipment and testing utilizing statistical process control
  • Coordinate vendor interactions to deal with preventative maintenance, tool upgrades, and line down issues
  • Evaluate, test, and select new metrology equipment to be added to our production line
  • Install and qualify new metrology equipment
  • Address issues with production metrology equipment, maintaining high availability
  • Develop advanced measurement recipes to meet customer requirements internally and with vendors, and analyze the comparability of measurements between Halo equipment and customer equipment
  • Develop standard operating procedures and train operators on usage of metrology tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert on semiconductor metrology topics, including shape and defect analysis
  • Collaborate closely with application engineers to provide technical expertise and support on metrology techniques and measurements, ensuring seamless customer interaction.
