Job Summary: Epirus seeks an experienced Principal ERP Solutions Engineer - Finance to join our Enterprise Applications team. Reporting to the Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will work closely with Epirus' ERP system to enable core business processes as it evolves. Managing and understanding these processes and related financial and accounting transactions, including Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) across Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Services and Accounting, is critical to succeeding in this role. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions in, and adjacent to, ERP that underly these transactions. The Solutions Engineer will need creative problem-solving skills to access, transform and ultimately present data in ways defined by business users across these teams. This position will be responsible for the technical build and maintenance of this work.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a fast-paced, agile business environment working cross-functionally with finance and accounting teams throughout the business to understand requirements and design solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business teams to identify and align needs, design, and validate technical solutions, and deliver efficiencies and insights across all areas of finance and accounting, including P2P and O2C processes in ERP.
- Understand end-to-end processes in ERP and related systems to allow for continuous improvements as the business grows and evolves.
- Champion ERP capabilities and align teams on best practices, driving innovation and operational excellence.
- Prioritize and manage competing projects to deliver impactful tools and process enhancements that accelerate efficiencies across the business.
- Lower barriers to learning and facilitate system adoption by documenting key features and offering user training to ensure effective use of systems.
- Leverage cloud and on-prem solutions for data extraction, loading, and movement between ERP and external platforms.
- Build relationships with customers, lead meetings to gather requirements, provide status updates, test, and obtain sign-off on deliverables.
- Master critical business processes and related KPIs to ensure the delivery of effective solutions.
- Develop and automate reports, queries, and scripts to support flexible and scalable data analysis and system interoperability.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of combined experience as a SaaS/Cloud-based ERP Solutions Engineer or in a hands-on ERP functional role directly supporting financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
- Experience supporting the full implementation lifecycle of a tier 1 ERP and related business applications.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP-driven workflows, particularly around the P2P and O2C processes.
- Advanced understanding of P2P and O2C frameworks and their role in driving operational efficiency in corporate finance.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with government accounting and government burden rates.
- Experience with ERP in an MES-enabled manufacturing environment, preferably servicing government/DOD as well as commercial contracts.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion.
- Inclination to collaborate, elevating solutions in a team-focused environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced, agile and growing business.
- Ability to efficiently plan work and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and an awareness of to message to the audience.
