Job Summary: This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone from a manufacturing background has experience in PCBA testing, mechanical assembly, structural integration, and production supervision. This role will lead a group of manufacturing technicians within Epirus. This person will be responsible for day-to-day employee management, strategic training initiatives, verification of operating work instructions, and validation of builds to meet customer deliveries. This individual will also serve as a technical working lead, with 50% of the role also spent contributing to hardware build and PCBA testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of assembly and RF testing technicians through daily coaching, annual reviews, and career development
  • Set and achieve daily/weekly/monthly team objectives based on department priorities; communicate these effectively to the team
  • Organize daily work scopes by assigning clear priorities. Create operating procedures for standard work in the labs
  • Ensure safe use of manufacturing equipment and collaborate with Lab Manager for equipment or tooling (calibration)
  • Train employees on new skills and develop a training matrix to track technician progression and qualify work
  • Collaborate with the continuous improvement engineering team to implement new equipment and efficiency improvements
  • Work in a fast-paced agile environment and adapt to evolving design and production challenges
  • Interface with technicians, procurement, engineering, and leadership daily
  • Drive accountability, respect, commitment, and speed with discipline to achieve Epirus’s manufacturing goals

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
  • High school diploma; degree in technical or engineering field
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative and people-oriented; capable of working across all levels of the organization
  • Advanced skills in MS Office at a minimum
  • US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with RF Products, Electromechanical assembly, and test
  • Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
  • Use of First Resonance and Epicor
  • Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerances
  • RF and Power Test
  • Understanding of how MRP works in product development and production environments
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements
  • Sets good examples with attendance, positive attitude, and task engagement

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$127,300$157,000 USD
