Job Summary: This is an exciting role in a growing company. In this role, you will work closely with a talented finance team as well as Epirus’ management team to develop and manage all aspects of financial planning. This position will leads FP&A, develop detailed financial models, conduct ROI analysis, and support program performance reporting. They will also lead pricing efforts, and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills and a background in financial management within the defense tech industry. This role will report to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FP&A team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain detailed bottoms-up three-statement financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct various types of ROI analysis to evaluate the financial performance and viability of projects, programs, and investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program performance reporting and provide insights into key financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Assist in M&A activities, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
  • Lead pricing efforts for bidding and proposals, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Prepare and present department monthly reporting to senior management, highlighting key financial results, variances, and insights to support decision-making.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Assist in the development, tracking, and reporting of operational and financial metrics
  • Assist with executive, Board of Directors, and investor-level presentations and communications
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed; other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the defense or technology industry.
  • Proven track record of developing detailed bottoms-up financial models and conducting ROI analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics.
  • Experience supporting program performance reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of M&A processes and financial due diligence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling software and MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • US Citizen (future security clearance may be required)

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$180,000$221,500 USD
