We are seeking an experienced, passionate Accounting Manager who will manage the company’s financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. Your duties will include streamlining accounting processes, supporting the finance team, and building strong business and interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate and timely monthly and quarterly accounting close for the company, including reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Coordinate and supervise accounting team
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements
- Develops, reviews and implements policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service skills, acting as the point of contact for direction on policies
- Lead accounting automation projects, process improvements, and perform control validations/internal audits
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience of full accounting exposure, including 3 years of management experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-moving, start-up environment
- Exposure to standard costing in a manufacturing environment
- Detailed knowledge of US GAAP principles
- Advanced knowledge and exposure of NetSuite and Excel
- Strong presentation, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, process-oriented, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
- MBA, or CPA or equivalent
- Experience in international finance exposure
- Experience in the biotech or life sciences field
- Significant experience in standard costing in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with tax determination software such as Avalara, or Vertex
Salary and Benefits:
The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $145,000 - $155,000. Compensation may be different in other locations outside of California. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
