Senior Project Manager - Technical

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Project Manager - Technical to join our Boston-based team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate a variety of multi-disciplinary projects which may include software development, hardware and material development, and other key company initiatives. Your responsibilities will span both internal development projects and customer-facing initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, contributing to the success of our company’s goals.
What You Will Do :
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and business teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
● Manage multiple projects from inception to completion, including software, hardware, and materials development for internal and customer-facing initiatives.
● Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines and budgets.
● Lead and facilitate project meetings, such as kick-off, planning, and review sessions.
● Utilize your effective communication skills to maintain alignment among team members, stakeholders, customers, and executives.
● Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
● Track project performance using appropriate software tools to measure progress against milestones and objectives.
● Prepare regular status reports covering timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
● Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with company goals.
● Address project-related issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.
● Continuously enhance project management processes and tools to improve team performance.
What You’ll Bring:
● Ability to operate in a fast paced start-up environment (prior startup experience preferred but not required).
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in project management (preferred focus on software, hardware, or materials development).
● 4+ years of experience in a technical field (computer science, engineering, material science)
● Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from start to finish, including both internal and customer-facing projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are preferred by not required.
● Strong knowledge of project management methodologies. Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, etc.
● Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering solutions.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
● Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
