Digital Diagnostics is looking for an Accountant to join our growing team. As our Accountant, you will be integral to the smooth operations of the accounting functions that support our business.
The primary function of this role is to provide professional accounting and financial management support. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, and exhibit good judgment. The position also requires one who is detail-oriented and promotes Digital Diagnostics in a positive way by using effective communication and interpersonal skills. Financial analysis expertise is not required. This position is initially focused on accounting with the opportunity to build new skills in areas of interest as the company grows.
Our Accountant will:
• Perform month-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly management reporting package
• Prepare bi-monthly payroll submission, journal entries, and other required filings.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Assist with tax compliance including sales, franchise, and corporate income tax preparation
• Responsible for maintaining fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations
• Document standard processes for the accounting function and recommend process improvements
• Assist in the annual budget process and development of reporting and measurements to support operations and managers
• Assist with the annual audit preparing schedules, work papers, and providing additional information as needed
• Advise on technical accounting issues and GAAP compliance by researching and working with external consultants
• Collaborate and act as a liaison to multiple departments by understanding and servicing their business needs
• Assist with other projects as needed, like our upcoming NetSuite implementation
What You’ll Bring to the Team
• Bachelor’s Degree with accounting, finance, or equivalent emphasis
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statement, payroll, and taxes
• Attention to detail, ability to learn and be nimble in a rapidly changing environment
• Experience balancing multiple priorities and producing quality work within a given timeframe
• Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with staff at all levels
