Deciduous Therapeutics is an early stage, venture-backed biotech company based in San Francisco, California developing novel immune therapies targeting invariant Natural Killer T cells, for treating age related diseases.

We are looking for a talented Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our research and development team. You will be an integral team member in the design and execution of critical experiments. This is an exciting opportunity to shape your role and advance within the company while growing as a researcher and leader. Key Responsibilities and Job Functions

  • Conduct In vivo animal studies including bleomycin induced lung fibrosis, metabolic related diseases like high fat diet induced diabetes models.
  • Contributing to in vivo immunization studies evaluating iNKT responses via high dimensional flow cytometry.
  • Primarily carrying out animal research studies, including monitoring, dosing, and animal necropsy and organ collection to support novel target validation, engagement & mechanism of action studies to include immune analyses by ELISAs and by flow cytometry.
  • Assist in experimental design, execution and data reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

  • S. in biology or relevant discipline with 3-7 years of industry experience developing and executing rodent models of lung disease a plus (especially bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis) but will prioritize experience with other lung models such as asthma/COPD.
  • Must have extensive experience in animal handling with excellent in vivo dosing techniques, such as i.v., intratracheal, i.p., s.c., i.n., p.o., organ and blood collection/ dissection techniques.
  • Capable of supporting IACUC submissions, study design and execution, data analysis and presentation.
  • Experience with immunoassays including ELISAs and flow cytometry is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Prism.
  • Experience with flow cytometry data acquisition/analysis is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, energetic and well-suited for a fast-paced biotech startup.
