Daydream is an all-in-one planning workspace where teams come together to make decisions.
The way companies make decisions today is broken. Teams are siloed. KPIs are pursued in isolation. Analysis is backwards looking. And planning is fragmented across spreadsheets, documents, and dashboards that don't speak to each other.
As a result, leaders lack the context they need, politics rules the day, and companies make expensive mistakes that result in hundreds of billions of dollars annually in waste.
Daydream offers companies a new way of working. We help teams connect the dots, cross silos, choose the best future, and make better decisions together.
Today, we're working directly with a set of tech's best known companies. In 5 years, we believe you won't run a growth-focused business without us.
Our small, high powered team is backed by 8VC, Abstract Ventures, Foundation Capital, Offline Ventures, Kevin Hartz, Lenny Rachitsky, and others.
About the role
We're growing rapidly to keep up with demand. We're looking for a Lead Product Designer who loves crafting magical user experiences and thrives on complex challenges. You'll be a key pillar of our team, with the autonomy to own and shape design direction for the entire product experience.
We set a high bar, which means you'll be surrounded by peers who inspire you. You are a top-class designer and force multiplier who shares our passion for creating and loves to move fast.
What you'll do
Craft experiences that delight our customers. You'll work directly with our founders and engineering team to define our end-to-end user experience.
Solve hard problems. You’ll be a product thought leader who solves complex challenges with magically simple and visually appealing features.
Contribute to a culture of rapid iteration and learning. You'll help us get product experiences in front of customers quickly, so we can learn from the market. You'll foster an environment of trust and open dialogue so we can learn and grow together. You'll inspire and motivate others with your passion.
Scale your impact as we grow. We’re looking for a long-term partnership. You’ll establish the foundation of our design process and culture as we scale.
What you'll bring
Passion for great design: you create product experiences that are beautiful and functional (and you have the portfolio to prove it).
5+ years as a full-spectrum product designer: you have a deep knowledge of best practices in user experience research, information architecture, and visual/interaction design.
First-principles thinking: you can deconstruct complex problems and craft elegant solutions.
Startup mindset: you love jumping in at the 0->1 phase, you’re biased towards shipping, and you thrive in ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environments.
Proactive partnership: You’re deeply curious, seeking out opportunities to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other members of the team.
Bonus points for:
Familiarity with engineering concepts: you can translate effectively between user needs and technical realities.
Experience with Figma and other best-in-class design platforms.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply - we’re excited to learn along with you.
