The role:
We’re seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to shape the core of Coram’s AI: turning data into intelligence that powers our platform in real time.
Responsibilities:
Take an existing open-source Pytorch model, fine tune, productionize them in C++ runtime, and optimize for latency and throughput
Take an open-source model and fine-tune them on our in-house data set as needed
Design thoughtful experiments in evaluating the tradeoffs between latency and accuracy on the end customer use case
Integrate the model with the downstream use case and fully own the end metrics
Maintain and improve all existing ML applications in the product
Read research papers and develop ideas on how they could be applied to video security use cases, and convert those ideas to working code
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field- advanced degrees are a plus
Strong software engineering skills with experience writing production-grade code
Solid machine learning fundamentals, including linear algebra, probability & statistics, and supervised/self-supervised learning
Awareness of the latest trends in deep learning, including foundation models and LLMs; ability to read and interpret research papers
Ability to thrive in challenging and fast-paced environments
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees
Ability to work in an onsite environment - we move quicker when we're in the same room
Nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with Docker and containerization for production deployments
Experience productionizing PyTorch models in C++, including profiling for latency, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing performance
Strong Python3 and PyTorch experience; comfortable with C++
Knowledge of TorchScript, ONNX Runtime, or TensorRT
Understanding of half-precision inference and INT8 quantization

Compensation Range: $170K - $240K
