Role Summary

Commure is looking for a Lead Integrations Engineer to join our team. Reporting into the Director of Platinum Engineering, you will be a crucial member of the Integration Services team at Commure. In this critical role you will be working with Commure's clients and project teams directly to implement and support custom integrations between a customer’s Hospital
Information Systems (HIS) and Commure. Strong attention to detail and excellent technical and analytical skills are required. The ability to troubleshoot, solve and communicate technical issues is crucial for success in this role. By combining all these skills and experience, you will ultimately help design and develop new custom integration solutions for our customers during both initial implementation and post-deployment. You will help lead a team on large customer or internal initiatives, including but not limited to large multi-site implementations and new first-time integration solutions. You will also be responsible for the Commure integrations architecture and development tools/processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for integrating Commure technology with other Hospital Information Systems

  • Customize Commure’s integration solutions to meet individual clients requirements

  • Responsible for the detailed scoping, analysis, design and maintenance of system integrations

  • Leverage strong technical skills to analyze, build, and support custom inbound/outbound integrations and web based UI customizations

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration problems that arise within existing production environments

  • Provide estimates and initial scoping for new customization requests as part of our SOW request process

  • Develop and initiate strategies for improving the day-to-day operations of the Integrations team, including deploying, tracking, and maintaining customized integrations across the entire customer base

  • Responsible for all documentation regarding client inbound/outbound integrations and web based UI customizations

  • Responsible for one or more customer or internal team initiatives

  • Responsible for defects and enhancements to the Commure Integrations suite of products, tools and processes

  • Work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong task management skills

Requirements

  • Education/Experience

    • BS in Computer Science or related discipline

    • A minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience in the software industry

  • Technical Skills

    • Healthcare HL7 domain experience is required

    • Java development required

    • Python development strongly preferred

    • SQL query/reporting required

    • Web development required (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XML)

    • Application development experience preferred (Tomcat/JSP/Spring/Backbone/Angular/React)

  • Excellent technical diagnostic skills

  • Articulate and concise in both oral and written communications

  • Analytical mind, able to convert complex business requirements into reliable and efficient code

  • Able to identity, design, and implement enhancements to the Commure Integrations architecture

  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities

  • Able to both be mentored and help mentor other teammates

  • Enjoy working in a team environment

The salary range that Commure reasonably expects to pay for this position is $180,000 - $205,000. Actual salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location, education, experience, skills, and qualifications.
