The Innovation Team Intern will play a key role in supporting Iron Mountain’s efforts to drive innovation across its products, services, and business processes. This internship provides an opportunity to work closely with the innovation team, contributing to data science and research. The intern will gain hands-on experience in analyzing data, gathering research, and product development, and emerging technology trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Data Science:
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes relevant to Iron Mountain’s business.
Assist in gathering and synthesizing customer insights through surveys, interviews, and other user research methods.
Analyze data from various sources to inform innovation strategies and product development initiatives.
AI and Agent Framework Development:
Assist in building and refining our agent framework including the integration of Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) processes to enhance decision-making and reliability.
Contribute to the development of our agent builder on the DXP platform
Support the implementation of various use cases leveraging the agent framework
Participate in agent evaluation processes and methodologies
Collaborate on agent building initiatives, enhancing our AI capabilities
Contribute to improving our information retrieval and processing systems such as Knowledge Graph RAG
Collaboration & Cross-functional Work:
Work alongside cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and IT, to ensure alignment of innovation initiatives with broader business objectives.
Collaborate with team members to prepare presentations and reports for key stakeholders, summarizing research findings and project outcomes.
Attend meetings and contribute to discussions on how new ideas can be developed and implemented.
Project Management Assistance:
Assist in tracking the progress of innovation projects, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are achieved.
Help with organizing and maintaining project documentation, including timelines, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Contribute to the development of innovation project plans and timelines, supporting the coordination of tasks across multiple teams.
Qualifications:
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Research, Engineering, MBA (Innovation) or a related field (Undergraduate or Graduate level).
This position will start on January 13th and end May 16th, 2025
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interest in innovation, technology, and data science
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with design thinking and user-centered design methodologies is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or design tools like Figma or Sketch.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Experience or coursework in innovation management, digital transformation, or related fields.
Familiarity with project management tools and research methodologies.
