We are seeking a Data Center Technical Design Director t o spearhead the strategic vision, design, and implementation of our cutting-edge data center projects. Your role in our mission
Develop and implement a data center design strategy by creating an innovative plan that supports the company's long-term goals and incorporates current industry trends.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and architect fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Ensure alignment of data center projects with business objectives, collaborating with senior leadership to integrate data center strategies seamlessly into broader business goals.
Direct the creation and maintenance of high-quality design standards, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Overseeing all phases of project management, from planning and execution to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Lead the adoption and integration of innovative technologies to enhance data center performance and efficiency.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with key vendors, negotiating contracts and managing performance to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
Ensure quality control and promote continuous improvement. Implementing rigorous quality assurance processes and lead initiatives to continually optimize data center operations.
Valued skills and experience
Be university educated with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience in data center design and infrastructure, with proven leadership in technical teams and large projects.
Deep knowledge of power distribution, cooling systems, and network infrastructure.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong leadership and team management abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Certifications such as Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
