Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on all cyber security efforts for Product and IT; create and implement cyber and systems security controls across CHAOS products
  • Provide inputs for planning & scheduling security measures as well as assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of company products
  • Ensure architectures for product security meet all applicable certifications & requirements
  • Advise stakeholders on maintaining product security and certification while providing guidance/mentorship to internal teams to better-understand compliance issues and assessment findings
  • Support internal/external security process/product audits and assess tools security readiness
  • Drive and support engineering activities according to security standards during all project phases (concept, product development, product design, development, validation, production)
  • Seek out opportunities to automate where appropriate
  • Work full-time onsite out of our Hermosa Beach office

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical cybersecurity experience involving 5 - 10 major projects related to items below
  • Experience with development and execution of a prioritized strategy, roadmap, staffing, and investments necessary to continually advance product security capabilities
  • Experience designing, deploying, and managing IT architectures including multiple different networks with different access requirements and standards, e.g. IT solutions for both government and commercial use cases
  • Experience in threat and security assessments
  • Experience with OS deployment, management, and administration of servers, workstations, and laptops in Windows and Linux (e.g. RHEL/Ubuntu) environments, both on-site and remote
  • Experience working with and building cross-functional teams & partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the company, engineering and test

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology field
  • Experience working with government customers and government programs
  • Experience with FEDRAMP-compliant cloud work (e.g. Microsoft GCC High, Amazon Gov Cloud, etc)
  • Experience with planning and implementing IT infrastructure that meets DFARS government compliance standards, (e.g. ability to handle controlled unclassified information, CUI)
  • Experience in system and component level cyber test and evaluation
  • Experience with PowerShell automation and advanced active directory
  • Experience with DevSecOps (e.g. Docker, Artifactory, git, Ansible)
  • Experience standing up air-gapped classified IT computing environments
  • Scripting and development experience to automate IT processes (e.g. Ansible, Python)
  • Experience with STIGs compliance including OS Hardening
  • Experience conducting threat modeling using frameworks like STRIDE, PASTA, or Attack Trees against server architecture + advisement to engineering teams on how to mitigate identified threats
  • CISSP certification or Security + certification
  • DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Salary range: $165,000 - $215,000

The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
