Machine Learning Engineer
Cellino
The Company
Cellino is building a precision platform that personalizes human cells for all. Stem cell-derived regenerative medicines are poised to cure some of the toughest diseases within this decade, including Parkinson’s, diabetes, and heart disease. Patient-specific cells provide the safest, most effective cures for these indications. Currently, large scale production of stem cell therapies is challenging due to extensive manual handling, high variability, and expensive manufacturing costs. Cellino’s vision is to enable healthier lives worldwide with personalized human cells.
The Role
The ML Engineer will be a software developer working as part of Cellino’s Data and ML team to build the production-level AI capabilities for the Cellino Platform. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, biologists, and automation engineers to build data and decision pipelines that process petabytes of data from various microscopic and biological assay modalities generated by our cell manufacturing platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI and computer vision algorithm pipelines to replace human decision points with automated decision policies.
- Design, develop, and maintain model training, evaluation, monitoring, dataset generation, annotation, and management infrastructure
- Adopt a test-driven approach to produce a high-quality and efficient codebase, perform code reviews with other team members
- Prepare architecture diagrams and presentations to document development milestones for a hybrid and multidisciplinary team
