The Research Associate will be responsible for doing lab based experimental work towards the development of assays for commercial products for the Cellanome platform. This role reports into the Sr. Scientist of Research & Technology Development.
Essential Duties include:
- Conducting laboratory experiments in molecular and cell biology, such as RNA-Seq (including cDNA quantification & library preparation).
- Utilizing and troubleshooting automated liquid-handling instruments.
- Documenting and analyzing experimental data accurately and thoroughly and communicating results within and across teams.
- Following laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to work outside core hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary to meet project deadlines and/or address urgent experimental needs.
- Complying with personal protective equipment requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment and knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental protocols precisely.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and techniques.
- Experience with surface chemistry.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
