About the Role

Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Web Development instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of our programs. This role is ideal for educators passionate about building practical, industry-relevant coding skills, who thrive in virtual environments and are excited to teach modern web technologies.

You’ll join a growing network of faculty dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education.

What You’ll Teach

  • Foundations of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Front-End Development (Responsive Design, UI/UX Principles, Frameworks)

  • JavaScript Programming & Modern ES6+ Concepts

  • Web Development with APIs & JSON/XML Data Integration

  • Back-End Development (Node.js, Express, Databases)

  • Full-Stack Development Concepts & Application Architecture

  • Version Control (Git/GitHub) and Collaborative Development

  • Web Accessibility & Performance Optimization

  • Web Development Capstone / Portfolio Projects

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.

  • Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.

  • Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices.

  • Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.

  • Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction.

  • Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience.

  • Stay current on industry and pedagogy trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Bachelor’s with significant industry and instructional experience may be considered.)

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.

  • At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.

  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.

    • Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction.

  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.

  • Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.

Compensation

  • $8,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter

  • $5,000 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
