About the Role

We’re hiring our first dedicated finance leader—a foundational role that will shape how we operate, make decisions, and scale. You’ll build the financial backbone of the company and help drive strategy at every level.

You’ll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to own financial planning, fundraising readiness, and company-wide decision making. From modeling and resource allocation to defining the metrics that matter, you’ll turn ambiguity into clarity and help guide the business through its next stage of growth.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable building from scratch, thinking strategically, and operating hands-on across the business.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Own company-wide financial planning, including runway, cash burn, and hiring projections

  • Build and maintain dynamic financial models that guide key decisions

  • Lead scenario planning and resource allocation across the business

  • Partner closely with leadership on company strategy and tradeoffs

Business & Product Modeling

  • Evaluate and model new product lines, pricing strategies, and revenue opportunities

  • Translate product and GTM initiatives into clear financial outcomes

  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the business

Fundraising & Strategic Finance

  • Lead financial preparation for Series B (models, metrics, materials)

  • Support investor conversations with clear, compelling financial narratives

  • Prepare board materials and support executive-level reporting

  • Define and standardize core company metrics (e.g., ARR, CAC, LTV, burn efficiency)

Revenue Operations (Quote-to-Cash)

  • Partner with sales and operations to improve billing, pricing, and collections processes

  • Help design and scale clean, reliable quote-to-cash systems

  • Ensure financial accuracy and visibility across the revenue lifecycle

Accounting & Financial Infrastructure

  • Own the integrity of financial reporting and serve as the accountable finance lead (in partnership with Graphite)

  • Ensure accurate close processes, compliance, and reporting

  • Build lightweight but scalable financial systems and controls

Insights & Decision Support

  • Provide actionable financial insights to leadership

  • Build dashboards and reporting that drive clarity and accountability

  • Be the go-to partner for “what does this mean financially?” across the company

Desired Attributes

  • 4–7 years of experience in finance (startup, growth-stage, or a mix of operating + banking/consulting)

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

  • Experience owning or contributing to fundraising (Series A/B+ preferred)

  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and metrics

  • Track record of working cross-functionally with product, sales, and ops teams

  • Experience operating as a highly autonomous individual contributor

Bonus:

  • Experience as an early or first finance hire

  • Background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or similar analytical roles

  • Relevant financial certifications (e.g., CFA or equivalent)

Compensation Range: $160K - $185K
