Microsoft SMC Sales Leader
Location: US Remote (preferred locations are Dallas/Ft Worth or Chicago)

About the Position


In this role, you will lead your assigned Sales territory and organization, drive effective sales strategies and be responsible for the overall success of the assigned Sales team. The right person for this job will enjoy developing a team, creating a strategy, promoting BlueVoyant Services and, of course, executing revenue targets. This job requires someone with excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills that is passionate about cybersecurity solutions.

You will manage enterprise sellers, with growth potential to include mid-market sellers. As a Sales leader, you will support growth and sales strategy development involving field sellers, sales engineers, channel account executives and business development representatives. You will work closely with Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Engineering, Client Experience, and Business Development to execute the sales strategy.

A successful candidate will be hands-on in driving the pipeline and revenue growth, maximizing profits, expanding the customer base, penetrating new markets and maintaining a culture of success and goal achievement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s revenue goals as it relates to Microsoft SMC.
  • Lead the execution of all strategic and tactical plans to achieve growth potential and optimal business goals regarding Microsoft SMC.
  • Amplify our security co-sell messaging to Microsoft Sales leadership and facilitate relationship building between field sales teams.
  • Responsible for team performance metrics tracking and review cadence for each member of the team.
  • Lead the team to implement and execute go to market Microsoft SMC strategy.
  • Provide direction and hold staff accountable for ongoing growth
  • Identify resources needed for the team to achieve organizational performance goals.
  • Use best practices to hire the right people and provide consistent orientation and continuous growth and development at all levels to enable achievement of team objectives.
  • Leverage existing individual and BlueVoyant relationships to build and execute new go-to-market Microsoft SMC opportunities.
  • Build measurable business plans to define partnership goals and conduct QBRs with Microsoft stakeholders to execute pipeline and sales success.
  • Prepare and present regular partnership status updates and sales results for executive leaders and program stakeholders.
  • Ensure team provides consistent and effective prospect/customer engagement, grounded in consultative selling and professional presentations, with focus on business and technical outcomes to cyber security and risk focused leaders.
  • Ensure team members provide timely and accurate Salesforce.com administration, including but not limited to revenue forecasting and account activities.
  • Influence peers and decisions makers from other operational functions to enhance processes and systems to meet team objectives and partner needs.
  • Ensure department/team budget stays allocated and aligned with targets.
  • Continuously improve tools, technology, and processes to optimize effectiveness.
  • Contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with BlueVoyant marketing to leverage resources (collateral, presentations, events, emails, webinars) to support joint initiatives with assigned partners.
  • Leverage BlueVoyant’s entire portfolio and successfully executing against your assigned pipeline, revenue and partner program objectives.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish effective programs
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to create and articulate an overall program and execution strategy as it relates to selling security solutions, preferably Microsoft security solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable sales results through program execution in selling security services, such as implementation and managed detection and response (MDR).
  • Demonstrated ability leading teams that will navigate Microsoft security solution selling motions, including E3 to E5 step up and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud security capabilities and Microsoft licensing and SKU bundles.
  • Proven track record of sales through channel partner programs and direct sales with a focus on security and compliance products
  • Proven and consistent achievement of assigned objectives and revenue targets.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of networking infrastructure and the cybersecurity industry.
  • Deep knowledge, experience, and contacts in the western US cyber market (customers and resellers).
  • Demonstrated background in building successful teams.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively work cross-functionally across the organization and externally with partners.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and utilize metrics to affect results.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow-up on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of the sales process from initiation to close; MEDDPICC is a plus.
  • Excellent listening and proposal creation skills - not only presenting ‘what we do’, but ‘how we do it differently’ with direct correlation to identified customer challenges, business and technical target outcomes.
  • Positive, Tenacious, persuasive and goal oriented.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; able to demonstrate patience and enthusiasm while communicating with internal team members, prospects and clients.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), Google Workspace, and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
