Sales Director, Providers

Better Health is growing and looking for a Sales Director to help lead our sales to health systems and providers.

As a Sales Director, you will carry the responsibility of helping to grow Better Health by building direct relationships with healthcare practices, connecting with them in-person and remotely. In time, you will help us grow a team that is focused on strategic growth through health system partners.

You’re an exceptional candidate if you have a track record of growing businesses and have experience selling to healthcare professionals at all levels. You are comfortable not just selling to healthcare providers, but you are skilled in coming up with innovative ideas to build structure and drive results. We’re looking for someone that is ready to hit the ground running on day one and operate as both a player and coach.

Who is Better Health?

Better Health is a new type of medical provider, helping people with chronic conditions live and age at home. How? By bundling at-home medical supply delivery with peer support and education. We help our members discover and purchase the best medical equipment and supplies to address their underlying chronic conditions and receive the education and support they need to thrive at home.

Since its inception in November 2019, Better Health has gained Medicare licenses in 46 states, 16 Medicaid licenses, and preferred national provider contracts with leading payers, including Oscar Health and Humana. This has allowed our member base to rapidly grow with virtually no churn. We are backed by Caffeinated Capital, General Catalyst, Mastry, 8VC, Bill Ackman and a large group of experienced investors and entrepreneurs (see our series A announcement post).

What will you do as the Sales Lead, Hospitals & Health Systems?

  • Be a champion of Better Health for hospital and health system partners
  • Manage the sales cycle of your pipeline from lead generation through recurring referrals
  • Identify, target, and develop relationships with providers and staff to increase market share
  • Make cold calls and do constant outreach to new opportunities
  • Manage a pipeline of new opportunities and create a prioritization strategy
  • Partner cross-functionally with Expansion, Operations, Marketing, and Product to support our members and providers
  • Grow with Better Health, as we rapidly expand into new categories

This role is both an individual contributor role, and one that hires and manages a team of sales representatives.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You are a builder with business development / sales leadership experience
  • You have a have a history of selling to healthcare providers and/or systems
  • You are experienced in managing a team of sales representatives.
  • You know how to set goals and measure results towards the objective for your team.
  • You have a history of successful development of partnership strategy and execution
  • You are organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • You have deep knowledge and familiarity of the healthcare industry
  • Bonus: You have direct experience working in DME
