Working across hardware, software, and firmware; in both the RF and digital domains; the team delivers radar architectures that enable advanced surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting in the contemporary and future battlespace. The Radar team is responsible for all aspects of radar system development; from concepts and architectures through to fielding and sustainment. In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary technical team to define radar architectures, design solutions, build prototypes, perform testing, and mature the prototypes into products .</p> <h2 id="SeniorEmbeddedSoftwareEngineerWIP-ABOUTTHEJOB">ABOUT THE JOB</h2> <p>We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be the tip of the spear for embedded software development supporting our next-generation radar seeker products — the component that makes the weapon successful in its mission. You will be responsible for full-stack embedded development, from front-end hard processor cores down to low-level drivers controlling hardware at the bus level, enabling rapid fielding of capability for the warfighter. This will require expertise in embedded Linux, modern C++ and/or Rust, ARM-based architectures, and hands-on comfort with RF/digital test equipment. this role is for you.</p> <h2 id="SeniorEmbeddedSoftwareEngineerWIP-WHATYOU'LLDO">WHAT YOU'LL DO</h2> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="010e6369-6cd4-4b12-b399-4e1996375068">Design, develop, and deploy embedded software across the full stack — from application-level code on hard processor cores down to drivers and low-level mechanisms controlling hardware</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="ed51c87c-d2a6-4ca2-8eb9-d917b1ffbf87">Develop and maintain embedded Linux software for radar seeker systems using modern C++ and/or Rust</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="1886ee35-f62e-4f90-8b05-85825175a39d">Write device drivers and firmware that interface with hardware over SPI, I2C, UART, and other low-level buses for data transfer and peripheral control</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="49b40089-ab1f-4bd0-841f-d9654552ee9d">Perform hardware-software integration, board bring-up, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and RF/digital test equipment</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="d8eb8171-76b5-475d-94b9-336e57668926">Spend significant time on-site at Anduril facilities (weeks at a time) supporting integration, field testing, and real-world validation of products</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="3df9ad24-ab2e-4f49-b43b-7a3246c44bfc">Collaborate closely with electrical, RF, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver fully functional products</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="c028ba05-15f7-4f33-a61a-445685b287d3">Troubleshoot complex issues that span the electrical and software boundaries</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="7a05d79f-e27b-4879-be2e-2194f93f91aa">Operate autonomously within a small, fast-paced team — driving development from concept through deployment without hand-holding </li> </ul> <h2 id="SeniorEmbeddedSoftwareEngineerWIP-REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h2> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="4129376c-03bf-4e82-bd30-750f84aa871b">Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="dc384889-91d2-4002-9352-d76053a4b94f">Professional experience developing embedded software for production systems</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="b56ee4cf-1f1e-4cb5-9c22-e847b5e33b18">Strong proficiency in modern C++ and/or Rust</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="92304719-dce9-4dc2-84c9-6f3137653cfe">Demonstrated expertise in embedded Linux development</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="0d6b7bdb-5b4b-442b-b35e-5ccfe8f1ab7b">Experience with ARM processors and traditional microprocessor architectures</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="8d7ab1eb-14f7-464e-87d5-286c968b475a">Experience writing device drivers and low-level software interfacing with hardware peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="ef705025-c362-4037-a38f-071b249bda07">Hands-on competence with digital test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="ff6ad3bc-59e6-483e-b547-bcc4c659a151">Self-directed working style with ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight</li> <li class="text-start"
