This position involves working in a multi-disciplinary environment on the environmental qualification and flight testing of advanced payloads for space. We are interested in candidates that are excited to work on new projects from conceptualization through production. This position may require system and sub system testing for air, sea, and ground applications as well.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to execute testing of spaceborne payloads for the Anduril Imaging Division
  • Perform a broad range of test development, test design, and verification activities to ensure system performance meets project requirements.
  • Facilitate/conduct various space application tests as required to develop/verify thermal solutions
  • Work closely with other cross functional teams as needed & participate in design reviews, safety reviews, product reviews, test readiness reviews, and other milestones as applicable
  • Lead test design, test plan development, & readiness reviews including generating and executing hardware test plans
  • Must have a strong background of various measurement sensors, data acquisition, data post processing, and report writing skills
  • Travel to test sites as needed to support DVT, Proto-qual, & Qualification Efforts. This includes local and out of state travel which could be a week or two at a time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in the area of thermal analysis & test for space applications
  • Strong knowledge of system and sub-system thermal testing for space
  • Successful candidates must have relevant proven experience in space application testing, including performing TVAC operational testing of systems or sub-systems. This includes test plan development, working knowledge of test infrastructure, and working with external test facilities.
  • Good at working independently and with various teams and key stakeholders
  • Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs for short periods of time
  • Must be comfortable with hands on work and working in noisy environments including outdoors
  • Minimum BS in an engineering discipline
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
  • Familiar with Space testing standards such as, but not limited to GSFC-STD-7000B & NASA-HDBK-7009

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced graduate degrees (Masters or PhD)
  • Thermal analysis experience with space systems
  • General knowledge of shock and vibration testing
  • Familiarity with various test standards such as but not limited to: FCC Part 15, Part 25, EN55032, EN 55024/35, EN 61000, MIL-STD-1541, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160G
  • High level of familiarity with instrumentation and control (programmable logic control, high speed data acquisition, pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, solenoid valves)
  • General Knowledge of terrestrial standards such as MIL-STD-810, STANAG 4370, MIL-STD-461, and others
  • Performed Environmental testing at previous job(s) for military and/or commercial industry
  • Experience in an immersive interdisciplinary technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)
US Salary Range
$142,000$213,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
