The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. We are seeking a software engineer to serve as the interfaces lead for Anduril’s new airborne combat imaging and targeting sensor. In this role, you will be a core contributor to the software team; developing a robust and comprehensive ICD for the device, creating frontends for developers and pilots, and assisting the team in achieving our ambitious goals.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, build, and provide thorough documentation for an OMS-compliant ICD.
- Develop critical documentation that describes the function and execution of deliverable software products.
- Build live imagery viewing and command applications for fighter pilot cockpit displays.
- Own the real-time software implementation of interfaces for new airborne combat imaging & targeting sensors.
- Work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel expected approximately 10% of the time for testing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical & critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Team-player, self-motivated, driven, organized.
- Strong background in C++, and the ability to write performant code with good memory management.
- Strong background with Python.
- Must be familiar with git.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An understanding of transport-layer networking, ideally with some familiarity with radio communication.
- Previous experience with realtime processing in compute-constrained environments.
- Some experience with Javascript and React or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Nix or NixOS is rare, but extremely valuable.
US Salary Range
$138,000—$207,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
