What You Will Contribute To Altos

- Dive into pioneering science focused on epigenetic modifications in both RNA and DNA.
- Lead the advancement of mRNA-based therapeutic solutions.
- Investigate the mechanistic foundations of cellular health and rejuvenation.
- Collaboratively design project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, and procedures.
- Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of research findings.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) in executing research projects
Who You Are
Altos Labs Cambridge invites you to join the Horvath lab as a Scientist. We're in search of a passionate molecular scientist ready to spearhead projects that delve into the intricate relationship between epigenetic processes in RNA and DNA. In this role, you'll be instrumental in leveraging these insights for innovative drug development. Play a key role in pioneering advancements in epigenetic aging research.
Minimum Qualifications
- Dive into pioneering science focused on epigenetic modifications in both RNA and DNA.
- Lead the advancement of mRNA-based therapeutic solutions.
- Investigate the mechanistic foundations of cellular health and rejuvenation.
- Collaboratively design project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, and procedures.
- Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of research findings.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) in executing research projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in RNA modifications and RNA-based therapeutics.
- Proficiency in understanding the interplay between RNA modifications and protein translation.
- Strong interest in studying age-related molecular changes.
- Mastery of advanced molecular biology techniques.
- Proficiency in Nanopore sequencing methodologies.
- Familiarity with epigenetic clocks.
- Computational skills are highly desirable.
Salary Range: Scientist I, £42,500 - £69,000; Scientist II, £50,000 - £90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
