What You Will Contribute To Altos
As a member of the multi-omics data integration team, you will lead the development and application of advanced analytics methods to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular rejuvenation and reprogramming.
In this role, you will lead the development and application of computational methods for analysis of raw and processed mass spectrometry based proteomics data. In depth understanding of proteomic data generation and experience with various analysis tools and statistical methods for data analysis are a must.
The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of a research project and develop robust computational tools and pipelines for data processing and analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate rigorous scientific thinking, strong work ethic and the ability to work equally well in a team or independently. They will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team including domain knowledge experts, data generation experts and other computational scientists.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with domain knowledge experts to plan and design studies to elucidate molecular phenotypes of cellular health, rejuvenation and reprogramming
- Process diverse types of raw data
- Build pipelines for quality control, processing and analysis of DIA and DDA data, including TMT and label-free quantification strategies
- Develop analytical workflows for statistical and functional analysis of large-scale proteomics data
- Integrate proteomics data with other omic and phenotypic data
- Embed analyses and visualizations in automated reports
- Build interactive dashboards for data visualization and exploration
- Partner with other computational scientists to establish automated, robust and efficient analytical pipelines for reproducible research
- Stay current with and adopt emergent analytical methodologies, tools and applications to ensure fit-for-purpose and impactful approaches
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Mass Spectrometry,, Computational Biology, or related discipline
- Proven track record in computational analysis of proteomic data
- Deep understanding of data generation, raw data analysis, as well as statistical and bioinformatic analysis of processed data to derive biologically meaningful insights
- Extensive experience with workflows and data analysis strategies, including …
- Experience with PTM analysis (e.g. phosphorylation, and glycosylation )
- Experience with HLA peptidomic data analysis
- Proficiency in Python and/or R. Hands-on skills using data science packages
- Statistical analysis background
- Follow good practices for reproducible research
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to present complex computational methods to non-experts.
- Established ability to translate biologists/project team’s scientific questions into analytical strategies and methods.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Salary range: Scientist I, $138,550 - $187,450; Scientist II, $163,000 - $253,500; Senior Scientist, $195,000 - $327,600. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
