We seek a dedicated Sr.People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations Team in Pune. This essential team member will be instrumental in delivering daily People Team operational tasks to support and build our expanding team across India, the UK, and beyond. The ideal candidate will handle various people-related processes, transactions, and support systems to ensure smooth operations and deliver an excellent employee experience.
The People Operations Specialist will handle a range of People Team functions, including onboarding, employee transfers, data management, benefits enrolment, and compliance. This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party partners, supporting talent and performance management processes, and leading improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Complete daily People Team operations such as new hire onboarding, employee transfers, job and data changes, leave requests, compensation adjustments, and terminations.
- Use Workday, Checkr, and Greenhouse as well as other tools to handle People Team processes.
- Collaborate with the People Operations Manager, Payroll, Legal, People Team Business Partners, and other teams to ensure seamless handoffs and process completion.
- Coordinate for transportation for shifts working non-standard hours.
- Partner with the US centralized team to adopt processes, procedures, and programs for India, and partner with the UK People Operations Manager to support UK transactions and processes.
- Maintain internal records and documentation, conducting regular audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and compliance.
- Stay informed and follows changes in labor legislation and other regulations.
- Provide high-touch support by addressing employee queries through email, Slack channels, and Jira ticketing systems.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Partner on projects to drive operational efficiency, create scalable solutions, and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Support additional People Team responsibilities as needed to improve People Team service delivery and employee experience.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or a similar field working for a growing multi-national company.
- Proven experience with Workday HCM software.
- Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Experience with deep participation in projects to drive operational efficiency and enhance employee experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience writing documentation in American English.
- Customer-service oriented with a genuine enjoyment of interacting with people at all organizational levels.
- Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, and connect dots across the organization.
- Comfortable with data entry and auditing tasks.
- Understanding of labor legislation and compliance.
