The Role
As Senior Collections Specialist you will be handling the collections process for the company. This role requires a blend of leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of credit and collections process. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that the organization’s outstanding accounts receivable are minimized while maintaining positive relationships with clients and driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections process.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure optimal collection results with timely submission of invoices, tracking the movement as per customer payment process and timely action on overdue accounts.
- Interact with global clients to collect balances on invoices. Maintain the account status as “standard” and resolve all disputes.
- Identify sticky and problematic cases and follow suitable escalation matrix as defined in the policies.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including sales, sales ops, tax, cash apps, legal, billing and order management.
- Monitor collections performance against key performance indicators and benchmarks, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate current collections processes and performance metrics, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in collections with 5+ years relevant experience in a global setup.
- Experience working in a Technology/Software/SaaS company will be a huge advantage.
- Strong follow up and recovery approach, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally across departments
- This is a hybrid role (3 days work from office) based at our office in Pune (Viman Nagar).
