About the Role

We are seeking a versatile IT Systems/Support Administrator to join our TechOps team in Austin. The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude and a strong sense of ownership, akin to that of a site manager. This role requires flexibility to transition seamlessly between tactical user support and project execution, as well as occasional travel to different locations in Austin and to the SF/Bay Area as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • IT Systems Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of IT systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations across the organization.
  • End-User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new devices, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
  • Network Administration: Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and access points, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Software and Application Management: Install, configure, and maintain software applications and licenses, including productivity tools, collaboration platforms, and business applications, to support the needs of the organization.
  • IT Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, including researching vendors, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
  • IT Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and procedures, as well as develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to facilitate self-service support.
  • IT Project Management: Lead or assist in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or deployments, by defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, coordinating resources, and managing timelines and budgets.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT products and services, resolve technical issues, and ensure service-level agreements are met.
  • IT Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses, and track their usage, maintenance, and disposal to optimize asset utilization and compliance.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a point of contact for IT-related emergencies, such as system outages or security breaches, and coordinate response efforts to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT administration and make recommendations for process improvements and technology investments to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills.
  • Experience with Okta administration and automation.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace/MS365 administration.
  • Familiarity with MDM administration and zero-touch deployment.
  • Strong network administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Prior experience in SaaS operations management.
  • Proficiency in supporting both Mac and Windows systems.
